thank you so much for your precious help.
I have written the charity E-book using Ibooks Author and when you view it horizontally with your IPAD, you can read and see all the pictures but when you try to read the e-book vertically, the pictures disappear and the layout of the ebook changes as well making the chickens laugh !
Does anyone know the reason why the programme works fine only if you read the ebook horizontally please?
It's driving me bananas !
Thanks to everyone who can help :-)
A big hug,

iBooks Author by design changes the layout when you change the iPad from landscape to portrait, since a layout that works one way would be at best rather cumbersome in the other orientation. If you would like assistance working with layouts to optimize them for the orientation changes, I'd suggest asking in the iBooks Author forum:

when it was created I chose the landscape orientation and looks fab on the IPAD but if the reader is going to read the e-book vertically, the pictures/images disappear so I'm trying to work out why the images disappear if you hold you IPAD vertically and the text gets messy too.
The e-book should look the same as all the readers have different styles when reading an e-book using their IPAD but it's seems that its not the case! It's so complicated ! It will be much easier to resolve the Da Vinci Code :-)
Does it make sense ?
Thanks for finding the time to reply to my post, I really appreciate it.

But unfortunatly for the moment Ibooks author don't give us the choice to create the books for a portrait orientation.
Landscape is more using for photo , video and 3D widget ( or even HTML5) .
When you are in landscape orientation you must (during the creation of the books on your mac) switch to portrain to see and fix everything.
hopes it help you a little.
