Recently my computer has been having DNS errors in Chrome, Firefox and Safari....
Is this a virus/malware...?
Probably not. There have been three or four malware attacks involving DNS over the years, but the symptoms are usually very consistent. As Linc just ask, we could use some additional details. Is it only some sites or random redirects? Are you using the DNS provided by your ISP or one of the public DNS'? If you haven't tried the latter look into OpenDNS or Google Public DNS. Both are free, but you may object to the small amount of advertising you get with a typo and there's undoubtedly some tracking going on. Most find it faster, more reliable as well as other benefits.
