Aug 29, 2012 4:30 AM in response to Scottracer24by WZZZ,You can check to see if it's actually been sleeping: open up Console in Utilities>system.log. You should see at least some of the following entries for the time of wake up:
Or, even simpler, if the computer is sleeping, just move the mouse a little to the side. Nothing should happen; it will require a full click down to wake it up. But wait a minute after setting sleep to try this. Before that, it will wake up even from a very light move.

Aug 29, 2012 4:55 AM in response to Scottracer24by roam,A few weeks ago someone had a problem with Safari still running after the computer was put to sleep. Is Safari running when you sleep it? The solution was to update Safari to the latest version.

That's very weird. Sleep is sleep and, by definition, nothing should be running. Don't see how it could have really been sleeping.
