Q: Your payment method was declined

Im really getting ****** off. I keep getting "Your payment method was declined" when I try to purchase an e-mail voucher for a friend. I have spent 2.5 hours trying to solve this, I know how much my friend would appreciate it else I would tell apple to get fu$%ed since getting help does not seem possible. I have tried 2 different accounts. I just want to buy a freaking voucher or punch an apple employee. Anyone know what is going on?

    Hi Atul_jain,

     

    It is located next to the visa and masterd card options (at least is where i have it).

     

    1. Select "none" - I supose maybe is named as "none" (I have it in spanish -ninguno-).

     

    2 . Save the settings. In my case I have "terminar" (finish or done button I guess).

     

    3. Register again your payment method.

     

     

    Hope it helps. It works for me every time that I have this issue.

    I also cannot find "none" option....

     

    What I find next to mastercard and visa is AMEX...:(

    This happens when you have a few dollars left on your credit card. When you purchase an app it takes some time for the money to get off the card. By that time you still have the same money on the card and you can try to buy another app. This is where the billing problem arises. Your next app that you tried to buy is purchased and will be charged after you put enough money for the both apps on your card. After that charge the billing problem will vanish. Hope this helps.

    I have the same problem.. i sent an E-mail to apple and they replied in 10 mins. They told me what was the problem and how to fix this problem. If it says that its declined for all your credit cards try redeem code. I wish it helped

    Hey guys i am having the same problem for the last 2 months and now its getting over my nerves.. i havent used the app store before, i made my account the time i bought this mac from apple store singapore.

     

    Now i want to update to mountain lion, when i signed in it said that your account is never been used before so 'REVIEW IT'.. When i started reviewing it, it asked me to fill in my card details.. every time i put my card details it says that the payment method is declined. I am using MASTERCARD DEBIT CARD..

     

    CAN ANY1 plz help ??

    I have been trying to resolve this for a number of days, finaly resoloved this it was my Area code that was wrong.

    It could be Your telephone number (I'm from Poland, and we have +48 prefix here - I wrote 048, then my number and it works).

    This is happening with me now, apparently i owe money. I tried my bank details, didnt work, tried my mums bank card, didnt work, tried my boyfriends, didnt work. What the **** is that all about? Seriously, get it fixed apple, morons.

    Hi, I also have similar problem, previously all's going well until few days ago when I tried to purchase from appstore.

    I checked with my card issuer bank & nothing's wrong, I can make normal payment using my cc even online purchasing on Am*zon etc.

    I contacted apple support, but their response & suggestion still cannot resolve the problem.

     

    It seems the problem is on appstore & iTunes billing system.

     

    Honestly, I already gave up with this crap & start to think that jailbreaking is the only solution.
