Long story short, I had a crash and could no longer open the song I had been working on. However, I have located the .aif files which appear intact  in the package contents on my comp.  How do I use the .aif files now? I essentially want to import the .aif files into a new .band file to continue working on the project on my ipad. I realize I will have lost much of the additional work I did, but at least it's a start.

iPad, iOS 5

You cannot import projects created on a Mac to IOS at this time.

Do you not have the original session on your iPad?

If not you will have to import the AIF files to the IOS GarageBand and start over.

You can essentially start a project on iPad and then transfer to the Mac, but you won't be able to then transfer back to the iPad
