i'm able to use iTunes Match now, it's able to connect to The Apple Server on My 2009 24inch Apple Widescreen iMac Computer

I Think all the trouble was is Apple iTunes were down for a few minutes, i never had Trouble with iTunes Match before & it always worked on Mountain Lion for me.

    Byron,

unfortunately, anything WiFi is not 100% dependable - servers are big machines that can have a malfunction and WiFi can have dropouts, so you have to expect that.

i'm not using WiFi, I Have My Belkin Wireless N' Router Connected to My Optimum Online Boost Plus Internet Service, I Have My Belkin Wireless N' Router Connected to My Optimum Online Boost Plus Internet Service Box to create a WiFi Connection for The Belkin Wireless N' Router so I Can set it up for My Apple TV & Apple iPhone & Sony Wireless Internet Blu-Ray Player thats how i have everything set up but when i'm on the internet on My iMac Computer i'm using My Optimum Online Boost Plus Internet Service just to let you know how i am doing things on how everything is working for me.

however I Do get Free Optimum WiFi if i wanted to use it? but i like it better the way i have it cause on My Belkin Wireless N' Router when I Have a WiFi on My Apple TV & Apple iPhone & Sony Wireless Blu-Ray Player i'm never losing connection, my Connection never gets weak on that end & everything is much faster when i'm using The Belkin Wireless N' Router WiFi Connection it's as Fast as My Optimum Online Boost Plus Internet Service, my WiFi connection never Fails when i'm using it on My Apple TV & Apple iPhone & Sony Wireless Internet Blu-Ray Player but the Belkin Wireless N' Router is always Connected to My Optimum Online Boost Plus Internet Service Box

I Hope i did not go to over what i said to you just trying to explain how things are working for me if anyone is Mad at me for what i said it in a roughly way? well i don't mean to say it in a wrong way Sorry

    Nothing to worry about, Byron.

The Wifi depends - among other things - on what is between your router and the devices using the router's wireless signal. Wireless does not pass through metal very well for instance - so, if there isn't anything between the router and the Apple TV, you should get a good signal. Now, you have your iMac connected with a cable, right?

From what you said, I'm guessing you have it like this:

From the wall > the TV cable goes to your modem.

From the modem, a cable goes to your router.

From the router, a cable goes to your iMac, and

from the router, you have wireles connection to your Apple TV, etc.

Not sure if you know this, you are using your Internet Service Provider (the Optimum...) for everything (your imac, Apple TV, etc) - the internet connection is coming through your modem and you are creating the wireless network in your room/house - your Apple TV wouldn't work just with the router and the router wouldn't work by itself - it routes the signal from the modem either via cable or makes it wireless. If you already knew this, just ignore - I wasn't sure from your post if you knew this. So, after saying all this, yes, you could use your iMac wirelessly too, but a cable is sometimes a more stable connection, si it's better to use it with a cable especially if you download a lot of stuff.
