Some sworn by this workaround http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4700 with my mid2010 mbp 13" worked fine after lion update and never had to deal with afp connection to nas servers even after recently upgraded to mountain lion.

Got a new 13" mba a week ago and somehow the workaround got me connected for as long as I was using the server but loses the connection after sleep/wake/restart/disconnection. A repeat of the workaround doesn't seem to be able to reconnect to the nas server at all.

any help would be wonderful and thanks in advance!
