Hey guys,

I've just had an issue present itself today with audio playback on my iMac...

I first noticed it while playing songs in iTunes, the song I was listening to kept randomly restarting - I thought perhaps there was something corrupt with the MP3 file, but then other songs were doing it also.  It happens randomly at varying different points of playback.

I then attempted opening the songs with Quicktime player, thinking it might be an iTunes issue - and it did the same thing there, also randomly rewinding the song at 2x speed... restarting the computer didn't help.

I have no idea what might have prompted this, but I've also noticed lately in the past couple of weeks, some streaming videos I'd watch on news websites, etc. would lag - so I'm wondering if I'm having a hardware issue.  I wrote off the video playback lag as connection issues with streaming video, but really I have a very high speed connection and the videos were short news clips..

Any feedback/help would be appreciated!
