Q: Garageband midi drum fills issues

I have a yamaha dd65 which i hooked up to my ipad via a USB midi on camera connection kit, mapped the pads based with the garageband drum kits, all is working great but one issue i encountered. whenever i made a quick fill in, theres always an out of sync/stuttering of one of the pads as if its trying to catch up the drum fills, sounded like a pop.

has anybody encountered this issue? and this happened to every midi app ive tried like sampletank which fared worst than garageband.

iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1

anyway, just to add in, the usb interface cable i used is a cheap chinese knock off. i suspect its the latency issues with the midi cable.

hello! i just bought a dd-65 and am wondering if you have figured anything out about your problem - i don;t have an ipad but was thinking of buying one or an imac to use with the dd65 - i was also thinking about buying a midi interface and didn't know which one would be good - i've head of audio interfaces as well as usb interface styles?

ive already managed to fix the issue with asio4all using pc. but for ipad i think it would better to get a better midi interface like line6 or focusrite. Audio interface should fix this latency issue but since i havent tried one or bought one, i cant guarrantee it will work unless you can bring along your dd65 and test the interface itself

I am replying in 2016. anyway, there is no problem with the audio interface. latency would be on the side of the midi software, garageband. also note that the audio interface is delivering a digital signal, which translates to zero and one.
