Since the original iPad came out the recommended cleaning method has been to get a MicroFiber cloth and just wipe the screen.  If that is not sufficient a very small amount of water, such as a moits, not wet, tissue and then wipe dry.

Do not use any chemical products as they can damage the oleophobic coating on the screen.

The best thing to use to clean the screen is a microfiber cloth, ideally the type sold for cleaning eyeglasses. Never use any kind of solvent. If the cloth by itself isn't doing the job, dampen it (but just damp, not wet), and use a dry cloth to dry it off and finish the job.
