Q: How can I stop my iPod Classic from responding to the remote for the Apple TV?

As I browsed on my Apple TV, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye ... it turned out the iPod Classic I had recently set down on a dock in a player device was responding to commands from the Apple TV's remote.

Can I set either device so that the iPod will ignore signals from the Apple TV remote?

Thanks!

If this needs to be clarified ... By "Apple TV" I do not mean the whole "TV set" device!  This is the older, set-top box device, which connects to an independent TV set (via HDMI cable).  It is about a year old, and is called 2nd generation.  The remote is the very slim stick with a pseudo-wheel and a couple other buttons.

Well, I should have understood it is not the iPod itself that is responding to the Apple TV remote.  Itook the iPod out of the dock and of course it pays no attention to the remote.  It is the player device (where the iPod was docked) that is responding to the remote.

I'm not marking this solved yet (though "undock that iPod!" is kind of a solution) since there may still be a way of changing the remote signal (say by "channel") or player device response.  (It's a Bose, if that helps.)
