Sep 11, 2012 11:50 PM in response to Renatowby roam,You can just ignore that application if you don;t want to use it. An external hard drive should simply run when you plug it in. It does not need any special installtion or special drivers loaded, as your Mac already has the necessary driver to run it.
On a seperate note, with an external, drive, you have the ability to accept the format that it comes with, such as FAT 32 for example, or reformat it to run exclusively with your Mac, by choosing Mac OS Extended (journaled) format, in Disk Utility under the Erase tab.
