According to Phil Schiller Apple is not making an iPhone 5 dock because most people use them with speaker systems and clocks.

That is absolutely ridiculous. If that were the case apple would not sale any docks. I have always had a dock with my iphone. But besides the fact fact that many people do use docks.... There are no clock and speaker acsessories for the iphone 5 because it uses a different dock connector...

This is a small thing but that is such a ridiculous statement that it is seriously making me reconsider.. I know, I know. Somone else will make one... And I will still probably buy an iphone 5 but for the first time ever apple is giving me second thoughts... They change the dock connector and then won't even sale a simple dock when there are no acsessories avalible... ERRRR hulk smash

I have bought two docks with each iPhone that I have had (one a work, one at home).  No dock?  No iPhone 5.

You are quoting Phil Schiller "a Tech enthusiast in Silicon Valley enjoying the possibilities of ubiquitous connectivity, information sharing, and collaboration enabled by mobile broadband."

    Rumour-mongering or what?

I'd like to recommend two iphone 5 docking station I have got.

    One is Belkin docking station,

This dock is in Apple Store now, but I bought it on Amazon, cause of a lower price.

It's a well made device that is simple to use and easy to setup, I have been using it for nearly half year until it stopped working, and I could not find any reason. Maybe, it my misfortune to have got a defective item, but I still to recommend it for it's made by Belkin

The other one is VicTsing docking station for iphone 5

I bought also on Amazon. Actually, I'm much surprised at this product, cause I haven't bought any VicTsing product before, but this item indeed gives me a good experience.

The cradle front cover is piano lacquer, back cover is arubberized, it looks slap-up and hand feeling is good. The charging speed was perfectly fine ( about 1% per minute in my testing, just as the Belkin dock) and the sync speed was the same as always. The dock itself is done in both black and while colors, so it matches both black and while Apple products. There are four small rubber feet grips on the bottom of the dock, which helps keep it from sliding around on smooth surfaces. Even more, I can use it for my ipad mini. it's the best of both worlds.

You can search them on Amazon. In fact, I prefer the latter, it's just $18, but the Belkin one is $30
