Sep 14, 2012 2:08 PM in response to maliniuttamby ds store,If it's a new or in warranty/ApleCare machine, take it to Apple.
If not or you replaced or added RAM, then open it up and reseat the RAM firmly into the slots.
Run a extended Rember/Memtest overnight.
If the RAM is bad, then call the third party supplier for a replacement batch.
Use the free online Crucial.com checker, or download MacTracker to determine your correct RAM specifications.

Apr 3, 2013 1:17 PM in response to maliniuttamby Rebeccaloaiza,★HelpfulHello! This is the first time I've had a major Problem with my notebook, I hope somebody can help me.
My MacBook Pro with Snowleopard operating system, processor 2.4 GHZ Intel Core I5, apple original RAM 4GB 1067MHz DDR3 is a little bit more than 2 years old.
It started this week as my computer didn´t react to any Keyboard command and the mouse cursor was standing still. So I turn it off and soon on, then it started beeping 3 times and the screen was black. I turn it off, took the ram out and inserted it again, I clean the fans it was very dusty inside.
The next time my Mac was running as usual for about 10 minutes, suddenly the screen faded into grey, I could still see the whole background. There was a message from my computer that I had to turn the computer off with the power Button. Then the same happend again.
And today I turn it on but didn´t check on it for a while, it went into Stand by mode and I couldn´t wake it up, so I had to turn it off again.
As I turn the computer on I press cmd+v and made a screenshot of information that might contain my problem. I don´t understand what is telling me, maybe someone had the same problem and could solve it.
Thank you very much in advance,
Best
Rebecca

Oct 2, 2013 7:33 PM in response to Rebeccaloaizaby kahliann,★HelpfulI'm having the exact same problem, except instead of fading to grey, I get green lines across the screen and it shakes. Did you figure out what was wrong with it? I've taken mine in but they're not sure what it is.
