Q: upgrading itunes question
When I upgrade to itunes 10.7 do I have to have quicktime 7.7.2 I have Quicktime 7.7.1 I know you have to have it to use itunes.
When you upgrade any itunes versions, do you have to delete the old version first before upgrading to save room on your hard drive

Nowadays we only need it for some older media types as per the following document:
iTunes 10.5 for Windows: Older media files may require QuickTime
Your 7.7.1 should be fine ... but on some occasions, some folks get DEP errors when launching iTunes if their QuickTime is not fully up to date. If that happens to you, try updating the QuickTime Player to 7.7.2.

In the normal course of events, the installer for the newer version will uninstall older versions of iTunes (and related componentry) prior to installing the newer version. So, unless something is going wrong and we're trying to troubleshoot the issue, there's usually no need to uninstall the old version prior to installing the newer version.
