Q: Jam pack in Logic Bundle

Hi there!

Can anyone clarify if the individual Jam Pack DVD Boxes actually have more content that the Jam Pack/Apple Loops that come bundled within L

I have a pre-app store version of Logic Studio (purchased as version 8 then upgraded to 9).

In the package there are a number of DVDs with Jam Pack content.

I also noticed that from the Logic Window (Logic Pro > Download Additional Content) It tells me all these add-on packages have been downloaded & installed.

When I check the folder with these contents (e.g. HD > Library > Audio > Apple Loops > Apple > XXXX) I see for instance that  Jam Pack Rhythm Section is 916.5 MBs. An old DVD version of this Jam Pack Rhythm section I bought before owning Logic asks for at lest 5GB of hard drive space for the install.

Thanks!

    Hi

The original Jampack DVD's contain "full quality" aiff AppleLoops, whilst those bundles with Logic 8 and 9 DVD's are compressed audio CAF files.

The downloadable content is further compressed.
