Hey everyone,

I'm by no means a proficient when it comes to motion graphics, but I could really use some pointers on something.

I have video footage that shows a billboard coming on screen and then going back off (as if a car was passing by). While it's on screen, there is some scaling that happens (nothing passes in front of it).

I want to superimpose my own image onto the billboard, but I'm running into trouble when I try to track it.

I've been trying to us 4-corner tracking to insure that our billboard warps/scales/ect with the original.

However, since the corners of the original billboard go off screen at times, Motion can't analyze them. Because the corners can't be analyzed for those frames when they're off screen, Motion doesn't know what to do with my billboard and it goes all wonky and stops analyzing. I don't know how to compensate for this and all of the tutorials I have found so far don't deal with this problem using 4-corner tracking

I've never used 4-corner tracking so perhaps it isn't the best way to deal with this, but I fear that using the "Transformation" tracking wont scale with the original billboard. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Note: I've been applying the "match move" behavior to my billboard and using 4 corners from there to track the original. The "Analyze Motion" behavior will allow me to track multple points, but like I said, if those points go off screen, it can't track them anymore. I don't know how I would line up my billboard if I used the "analyze motion" on points that stayed on screen the entire clip.
