Q: Why is App store and iTunes in french when my settings are set to English ?

I purchased a new iPhone 4S and after syncing to my computer - I realized that the language is french for the App Store and iTunes. My language settings are all set to English and the Apple account I linked / synced with is also in English. Does anyone know how to correct this.

Settings > Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > sign in and chech Country/Region >change if incorrect.

Does your credit card on file have a French address?

Nope - the account is English and credit card has been associated to iTunes for quite a while.

Any chance that iTunes on your computer was set to French before the sync.

Try Settings > General > International > Region Format > United Kingdom ?

iTunes on the computer was never set to French.
Tried to update Region to United Kingdom - still in French.

Have you done a basic restart of computer? You may have to reinstall itunes. To verify, you scrolled down to the bottom right corner and changed the flag to correct one right?

Thanks - it was correct but I did find that my credit card on file had expired. Once I updated the information and got out - it seems that App Store and iTunes are back to English.
Maybe it was a penalty for not updating :>
