Q: passbook doesn't work

Hi.

After installing iOS6 I can't get Passbook to work.

I load it and my only option to click is App Store, which then loads the App store and says 'Cannot connect to iTunes Store'.

Suggestions?

Same issue here. I believe they might be pushing out some backend changes, so not able to connect yet. Have verified that I can see store and download apps

Are there any new settings in the Settings menu?

Also, keep in mind all the Apple servers, including iTunes, are getting body-slammed right now.  This may cause some outages or delays, especially in your areas.

Same here.  I have a different iCloud and iTunes identities if that is significant.

Passbook appears to require 'Passbook-enabled' apps, and no one has posted any yet.  The Passbook app seems to be like the Newsstand App.  Just a 'folder'

I had downloaded a "leaked" version of iOS 6 before today and I thought it might be a beta issue, but I'm having the same problem. Once, a Starbucks app came up and I downloaded it and applied a card to my account but it didn't add to passbook

Yep, you need to hae a "Passbook enabled" app. This requires the app to send an update with the service included with their app. As of right now that only apps that have this are Fandango(Movie Tickets) and Walgreens (Rewards Card). You open up the app and in the example of my walgreens app, I go to the rewards card and their is an option for me to add it to passbook. It pulled up a dialog, I had to select a couple of settings and now it shows up in my passbook. It seems though that we will have to wait for each app to update to allow use of this service.

Unfortunately I am experiencing the same problem. When I select App Store, I am greeted with "Can't connect to iTunes Store"

I have searched my account settings and general settings to update my account info, as my apple ID that I use for the store is different than the one I use for iCloud.

I disabled passbook from iCloud and still won't connect to the app store. Reset my phone, closed out all associated apps, still nothing.

If I open the app store app it works just fine, as well as iTunes. It seems there is an error in the link or there are some account settings that need to be configured.

Someone let me know when you get it figured out.

Dealing with same issue, must be working on loading all the new passbook apps. Still, bet in-like apple to not be prepared like this, especially with such a predominate feature

I already posted the answer to this up above, this is not on Apple, the app developers need to add the service to their apps and push the update out to users. You have to go into the app and tell it to use passbook. The only apps right now that have the update are Fandango and Walgreens
