Q: Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

after my update to ios 6 I tried to set up the ipad and it was unable to join the network....so since then I have reset the network settings, NO SOLUTION!... tried messing with my wireless router settings and switching different channels NO SOLUTION!! , and also reinstalled ios 6 to see if that was the issue....NO RESOLVE!

I have come to terms with the fact that my ipad was fine and connected easily before ios 6 with ios 5, so its not my router or wifi settings.....and my ipod touch 4g was updated to ios 6 as well and it connects absolutely fine to my wifi now.....SO SO FAR I AM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE UPDATE!

The problem is with my iPhone connecting. Not occurring on the iPad. Same WiFi router an Internet connection. The iPhone correctly recognizes the network, logs in, and then immediately goes into 3G mode and sends me to a "missing" page on the Apple site. I've gone all of the routes...reboot the phone, turn WiFi off for 30 seconds and then back on, airplane mode, and even the Forget this Network route. Same problem. Hopes this triggers a light bulb for someone. Pretty major bug though.

    Same problem...iPad 2...cant connect to Linksys WRT300N v1 router.

brings up "Log in" style window redirected to Apple.com with a 404 error.  Once you leave the log in style window, it disconnects from WiFi.

    Same here:

iPad 2, AT&T gsm connection works.  Everything worked pre update to 6.

Have tried 2 Cisco e series wireless routers, a wrt54 and a 2wire(fios).  No luck - keeps popping an apple page as though I needed to authenticate on a public wifi network.

I have the New iPad running IOS 6 and the wifi isn't working. It was working after the update for about 10-15 minutes. I turned it off, then I came back to it after about 15 minutes and turned the wifi on. It says that it is connected, then I get the Apple Log in page. When it loads it says that the page could not be found. My wifi router is about a 5 year old Linksys router. The network is unsecured because I live on a farm. It is on channel 6. My iPad shows that it has 3 bars where the network name is. All of my other wireless devices are connected. MacBook Air, Toshiba Sattelite, iMac, and an iPad 1.

Blocking apple.com at the router level has fixed it for me as well.

I am having the same problem also. I just updated my ipad3 to IOS6 and it wont stay connected to my wifi. It shows my wifi is there, and will access it but wont stay connected for more than 30 seconds. The problem is not with my router or connection because my PC is working fine and im currently downloading IOS6 for my iphone4 as i type. This is very frustrating. im gonna try to restore my ipad and hope that works

I just went into my wifi and turned ON ask to join networks, instead of joining automatcially. Now I'm happily surfing the internet on iOS 6 over wifi.

Try to Turn off wifi and turn it on again.  And then apply the fix. It worked on my iPad2.

I suspect the phone or pad thinks our routers are mobile hot spot. Connects ok and then tries to load the mobile hotspot web page. The welcome to xxx page you get in hotel wireless connection for example but as there not hotspots and don't have a login page set up we get the 404 page and get kick back out of the connection
