Q: Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

after my update to ios 6 I tried to set up the ipad and it was unable to join the network....so since then I have reset the network settings, NO SOLUTION!... tried messing with my wireless router settings and switching different channels NO SOLUTION!! , and also reinstalled ios 6 to see if that was the issue....NO RESOLVE!

I have come to terms with the fact that my ipad was fine and connected easily before ios 6 with ios 5, so its not my router or wifi settings.....and my ipod touch 4g was updated to ios 6 as well and it connects absolutely fine to my wifi now.....SO SO FAR I AM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE UPDATE!

I was having this same issue.  Are you able to click on any other links on the webpage that opens?  I clicked on the store button, wifi popped back on, and has been working fine.

I just restored my iPad III to factory settings and then from the backup and it seems to work again!

Read in an earlier post and worked.  Go to wifi settings, select the network details (little blue arrow to the side), select "forget this network".  Then try again.  Workedin two seconds on two diferent iphones 4S.

I'm seeing the same problem (Wifi connects for a second or so, then disconnects, goes to broken Apple "LogIn" page, will never complete IOS6 setup/activation).

In this case it's a QA test fleet iPhone 3GS on a corporate network with WPA2.   Reconfiguring/resetting the router is not an option.

Curiously the same device worked fine on IOS6 Beta 3 on the same device, same network, same configuration.

    This is not good....

Your link to a potential solution leads to a 404 page, and not to put too fine a point on it, but if your devices are all connected to your network, then you change something on the device, then they no longer connect to the network, wouldn't that point more to the changes on the device? I am reasonably sure that the network fairies did not visit and change my settings.

    ***Potential cause and fix***

Ok, so just updated iPad3 from 5.1.1 to 6.0 and had the same connectivity issues as everyone else. It would connect and as soon as it tried to access the internet the connection would drop. I tried opening safari and it asked for my appleid and password. I entered everything and the connection has not dropped yet. I assume that if you log out of your appleid from your device and log back in that this may fix some peoples issue. At least on the iPad 3 and if it is not greyed out like others. Testing Siri and browsing the web as we speak and it has not dropped yet. Hope this helps some!

My 4S worked fine with the settings before this iOS6 update... I don't think that we should have to get into technicalities with routers when Appl should just get their act right for loyal customers and fanatics

Put me on the list of one who is experiencing the identical issue with one iPhone 4S and one iPad 2.  But, my other iPhone 4S works OK. We are using an Airport Extreme with the latest firmware.

    What a screw up.

I had success with changing my router settings from Wireless-N and then back to Mixed Network, since my wife's 3GS wouldn't work on the N only mode.  *crossing my fingers* all the devices seem to be connecting at this point to our router.

This just barely started working for me.  Not sure if it was turning wireless off, then airplane mode on and off, then wireless back on, or if Apple's servers just started working again.

I was having the same problem, but this worked for me:

Tap on the arrow to the right of the wireless network. Set your IP Address button to BootP and then back to DHCP.

Scroll down, set your HTTP proxy to Manual and back to off.

Then tap the "Wi-Fi" button in the top-left to go back. Tap on the wireless network for it to attempt to connect. After that, I'm able to get in.
