For me, just going to the "Settings-General-iTunes Wi-Fi Sync- and ensuring "Synch Now" was off worked for me.  I didn't toggle anything.  Just went to that setting and then back out, and then it started working.

***Update - Looks like pure timing that I did these steps as it was being fixed by Apple.  Working with iPods and iPhone 4S without issue now.

You're right, Jim. And it looks like Apple replaced the page; it's all working now.

    Thanks!

I had the same problem on a iPhone 4s and iPad 3. Hard reset solved it. Looks like iOS is turning into Windows Vista requiring a reboot after each update

Re-sync your phone to itunes. Let it go through a backup. It will then stay connected to wifi.

I had this same issue. I update my phone while at work, came home and couldn't connect to my network. Didn't do anything and about a hour later it magically started working again.

It is related to the icloud login not working on some wireless units. A few ways to resolve.(pick one)

    1. turn off security on your wireless and change the name to a new name your device has never connected to.

    2. go to a wireless location with no security and connect that way

    3. if you have tethering use your iPhone to put out a hotspot and connect to that with your pad.

If you hit next at the wireless screen quickly it will ask you if you want to continue setup without wireless. Say yes. You can then do steps above to repair. Just pull up the new maps app and then it will ask you to log into your apple account.

    Hope this helps.

I've found the same problem. It seems to relate to switching between 3G and wireless networking.

Here is a quick fix that I discovered.

Put your iPhone in airplane mode.

    Then switch on your wireless.

Then switch off airplane mode and your wireless connection should stay connected.

Hopefully they issue an update shortly.

    Cheers,

    B

Same problem on upgrading ipad2 to ios 6.

To solve that issue first I've disconnect the wifi network connection and connected the ipad on internet throw its sim card. Then I've open the URL http://www.apple.com/library/test/success.html.The page shown wrote only "Sucess."

After that enable the wifi connection and close sim data connection and all was fine.

I'm writing this post from ipad throw my hous wifi connection.

I hope this can help you.

I've made it work by connecting to my wi fi and then quickly closing my phone with the power button before the safary page open.

Then when I when I pressed the home button, the wifi was working ans I didn't get any apple 404 page.

Worked on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2.

I KNOW THE SOLUTION IF YOU CAN CONNECT TO WIFI, BUT THEN IT GOES TO APPLE.COM and ASKS YOU TO LOG IN:

Go to Wi-Fi > Click the blue arrow to the right of your Network > For IP Address section, switch from DHCP to BootP and then BACK to DHCP. Scroll down to the bottom and wait for the Renew Lease section to come back > Click on Renew Lease.

This should allow your Wireless to connect for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

    Hope I could help you!

Had same issues, needed to forget and reconnect.

    Fix:

Go into wireless network settings and forget network.

Go back to choose network, re-enter passwd and connect.

    Hope it helps

i had issue for about 5 minutes then it went away.

    here's how i fixed it:

    * Tap the blue chevron in the wifi list and choose forget this network

    * rejoin the network manually
