Q: My Macbook Pro is just now having this issue so it doesn't fall within the 4 years. Does anyone know if Apple will do anything about this to help me out with this issue now? Any help or guidance anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Actually, Apple does read it.  I know, because when I posted this as a new question, they flagged it as a 'Rant' and refused to post it.  My voice has been heard!  I called customer care directly too, and got the same answer - regarding the repair.

It helps to know I'm not alone as it seems Apple will not be helping us. The bottom line is, the defect was Apple's fault from day 1 and we are being punished for their oversight.

Did you relay this to Customer Relations?  What was their response?

Apple does not read this message board.  These are user-to-user forums where everyday folk post "technical" questions and offer answers to each other voluntarily.

No one here works for Apple nor does Apple get involved in responding.

Posts can be removed by the message board HOSTs who monitor these forums when notified by a "user."

All complaints about Apple's products should be posted on the Product Feedback website.
