I am very disappointed with the new Apple Map that replaced Google Maps.  This is a backward move to 2009 software.  How can I get Google Maps back.  I need street view when I am in a strange neighborhood.  3D is cute but how many times will anyone use it.  Please help!!!!

iPhone 4, iOS 6

Until Google gets around to submitting an app, you can access it through iPhone Safari.

The apple map is useless for anyone outside of USA or UK.
I live in Japan, and it has way less detail than Google Maps, no 3D, incorrect labelling (only in English, no Japanese).
It is also a lot slower than Google Maps.
    Not happy with it.

I agree the new map app from Apple is a huge backward step and loss in functionality. Apple need to remedy this situation fast. Ideally, Google will release a new map app for iOS6.

Google app on safari is rubbish, glitchy, no real estate due to the banners and no street view. Very annoyed, trying to figure out how to go back to iOS 5 on my iPad. I'm stuck with iOS 6 on the phone soon as have pre-ordered the iphone 5

Dire... the new map app is awful. It's like a step back in time to the 1990's. No street view, extremely poor pixelated imagery. What on earth were you thinking Apple? Location based services are a fundamental aspect of a modern smart phone and you are now years behind your competitors. I’m seriously thinking of defecting to Android…. I really wish I could roll my devices back to IOS5. Idon't know about the rest of the world but it's usless in the UK.

Awful quality satellite images (I mean REALLY TERRIBLE BLURRY WASHED OUT INDISTINCT GARBAGE)

3d flyover is useless as I don't live in one of the few cities that apple bothered to map

No STREETVIEW - this is my biggest gripe.

All in all, ios6 maps is a comprehensive FAIL from apple.

...and apple trying to spin ios6 maps as a positive feature...bwahahahahahahahaha

Apple Maps are a total disaster. I'm so disappointed. It's the killer app for me on my iPhone, I've been telling people for ages how, when I head of to a meeting somewhere I've never been, I no longer print anything off. I just use my iPhone to find my way there as the mapping was brilliant. Now it's absolutely dire. The resolution from the satelite images is awful - and the lack of street view is a killer and I can't see this being implemented due to the huge effort required to get the images.

My son has a Galaxy Nexus and we compared maps last night after the "upgrade" to IOS6 and, well, there's no comparison. Its like Ive gone back 5 years in time.

I love my iPhone but this is going to push me into binning it and gong for Android - probably an S3. I can't believe I'm saying this but Apple Maps are truly awful. Apple - you should be ashamed of yourselves. This is not the way to treat your customers and is playing perfectly into the hands of Google and Android.

    Fed up.

I feel exactly the same, I relied on street view for my work and social activity, and apple have snatched it away and replaced it with this chod they call Apple maps. Wish I could downgrade back to 5.1.1 legit and safely. Lesson learned to do a bit more research before updating firmwares in future. I'm just praying Google are the "bigger company" in all of this and announce to release a google maps/street view for us iOS users but won't be holding my breath for anytime soon though. Gutted, took the shine of getting the 5 tomorrow now, that's how essential Google Maps and Street View where to me :(

Apple, please fix the maps app!

The new IOS map app is useless, color coding is wrong (the whole alps are one green region), roads are undistinguishable on the map until fully zoomed in, there is a lot less info on your screen, etc etc

This new app is a disappointment in every way...

I'm considering getting my friends 1 year old boy to draw me a map of the local area to keep me going until Google release their maps to the app store.
