If you truly "read alot" then you'd know that MOST people have absolutely no issues with the battery after updating. Also, you'd have discovered that there have been similar complaints with EVERY software update Apple has issued. The vast majority of users experience no issues.

I installed IOS 6 today and was having 100% charge, I used my phone in few short calls and checked my mail. It droped to 85% in les than 15-20 mins. this is awful. That happened while turning off 3g, notifications, push mail disabled, icloud disabled, locations services disabled. This is really bad !!!

My iphone 4 had been on charge all night, charge was at 100% at about 7:30am.
Charge dropped off to 85% in less than an hour.
For the record I perform regular battery maintenance, bluetooth and Wifi were off as were push notifications.
Hope this is somethin that is addressed in a patch soon Apple Overlords!

I installed iOS 6 last night...put my phone on my iHome alarm clock and charged it overnight to 100%. When I took it off the charger with no apps running this morning, it was down to 55% in 3 hours. It is hot to the touch...and the screen is asleep.

Same battery issue with mine
Settings > General > Usage > Time since last full charge
and I'm at 40%
I haven't used it 2:59, but somethings running in the background.
I deleted a ton of apps, just to make sure it wasn't something I added.
Rebooted multiple times, same issue

After installing i06, i noticed that my phone gets extremely hot when using the phone, this wasn't the case before. Is anyone else having the same issue? Also, this time yesterday i had a 95% charged phone but 2hr off the dock today I am sitting at 85%.

Updated to iO6 last night, full charge overnight. Took the phone off the charger at 8am to leave for work. Got to work 15 min later, 89%. Now, less than 2 hours later, 63%, and only checked a few emails, took 1 phone call of 2 minutes.
Battery is properly maintained, same settings as with iO5. Not apps running in the background. In fact, I changed sme email and calender setting to manual fetch, thinking that may have been the issue. Also rebooted.
