Sep 20, 2012 8:19 AM in response to spanks127by Feek,If this is the case, it's very bad news. I only replaced the head unit in my car a month or so ago and specifically bought one that would work with the iPhone. I used to use an iPod Classic with an FM transmitter but after my old head unit broke, I got the BT compatible device so I could use it with the iPhone, sold the Classic and dumped the transmitter.
It still works for audio but without the controls and track info, it's a real PITA.

Sep 20, 2012 8:33 AM in response to nikB123by Chewy13,Is there a way to go back to 5.1.1 even after I synced my phone with 6.0 on my computer? I bought my head-unit a month ago as well. I'm EXTREMELY unhappy to say the least. I'm always defending apple when it comes to my friends and whether they should go droid or apple and honestly I'm running out of things to help my case... This is really pathetic for apple. How do they think they are not going to **** people off? Or that people would be ok with this?

Sep 20, 2012 8:49 AM in response to nikB123by modbus,Same problems since my upgrade to iOS6. Alpine head unit CDE-136BT. Album/artist/title readout doesn't work, and controls from the head unit do not either. Tried deleting the pairing from both my phone and the head unit and re-doing it. No dice.
I love "upgrading" a device just to find out I've actually downgraded.

I now wrote to Alpine and Parrot and asked them both when they plan to release a Firmware update for their products to work again with iOS6 devices... Well...

Sep 20, 2012 9:10 AM in response to Lighty_by spanks127,The problem is not Alpine or Parrot, it's Apple.
You don't have something function in a certain way for 5 years and then all of the sudden change it without giving the companies a chance to correct the changes before a release.
All I can hope is that this is an iphone 4/4s with iOS6 issue and will work on the iphone 5.
Even though that would help me, so many other people will be screwed.
Just started reviewing droids, they're actually pretty nice.

Sep 20, 2012 9:11 AM in response to rcirilloby rtorres00,I have the same issue with my pioneer stereo, please fix the issue apple. I like to drive handsfree but now I have to look at my phone to change to the next song over bluetooth. I didn't have this problem before. I was able to go to the next song just by clicking next on the stereo or steering wheel.

Sep 20, 2012 9:54 AM in response to nikB123by ManicHispanic,Piling on. Pioneer AVH-P4400BH iPhone 4s with iOS6. I can stream audio but lost my AVRCP capabilities.

Sep 20, 2012 10:39 AM in response to ManicHispanicby rcirillo,So far i see on here brand wize Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, and Pioneer.. are all these units using a Parrot Bluetooth interface? Because someone stated before that Apple was no longer working with Parrot? Im really hoping that its just a simple firmware update that Apple will release within the next week or so.

Sep 20, 2012 10:47 AM in response to RTDIIIby KingOfLimbs12,Adding my gripes here. I have a 2012 VW Jetta with the RNS-315 nav unit in it. Upgraded to iOS6, and no longer have AVRCP or meta-data info on my stereo. I just spent SIX MONTHS in litigation with Volkswagen over a flaw with the Bluetooth in their 2012 lineups.. IT WAS JUST ******* RESOLVED MONDAY, and now it doesn't matter, because Apple has come to **** on my parade.
This BETTER be a bug that is fixable on Apple's end, or I'm done, for good.

My car does not have a Parrot bluetooth interface, so that theory is thrown out.
