Sep 20, 2012 11:31 AM in response to Mark Yamamoto2by léonie,What you see in the about panel
Aperture > About Aperture
is your Aperture 3 serial number.
It will not suffice to unlock Aperture 3, if it is an upgrade key. Then your will need your Aperture 2 serial number as well.
If you need to reinstall, you will have to contact Apple and apply for a replacement serial number. You will have to show a "proof of purchase", see this support article:
Pro Application Replacement Serial Numbers: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1861

Sep 20, 2012 11:34 AM in response to léonieby Mark Yamamoto2,Yes. Thanks I did confirm before reading your thread that the serial number is indeed from the Aperture 3 upgrade box. I'll have to dig through some boxes and look for the Aperture 2 serial number or look on an old G4 machine to see if Aperture 2 is loaded on it.

The G5 was a perfect piece of hardware. No other Mac I owned survived that long
