Ditto. Horrible job by Apple forcing this new Podcast App on us. It is poorly done. Does not have the functionality of the Music App (playlists being the biggest). Won't work in concert with other Apps (Runkeeper for one).
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.
It is almost worth going back to iOS 5 just to get rid of this stupid feature.

I agree the app isn't very good but it works fine with other apps. What problems are you having?
I wish Apple would get this thing fixed. I really want to like the Podcast app but Apple is making it very hard.

Separating out a podcast app is a step backward. From a marketing perspective, podcasts are seen as something independent from music and television. But from a functionality POV, it just makes it harder to manage your audio on your iPhone.
Consumer Technology's objective has always been to make one device do more things, i.e. combine a phone into a music player. This step is akin to taking the ability to text and spinning it off onto a gadget you attach to your key-ring.
It's still there, but annoying to dig out when you want to use it.

It sure did take awhile to get used to the Podcasts app. Now I think it is pretty cool. I like the 'auto d/'l experience -- hitting the Library (you see your podcasts on album-like order and a little circle to the lower right listing the number of unlistened to podcasts in that specific podcast. Much better than the Music app where it was quite a process to d/l podcasts. Don't think it had an auto d/l.
I like it much better!
