    so my saga continues. att promised me i could pick my phone up at a fedex location or have the address changed, since they screwed up. i got the tracting number, called att and they told me they basically lied to me and there is no way to change the address or pick it up in a store, so they tried to cancel my order! i started screaming at them and a hour later, my only option was to go and knock on the door of the address it was going to and beg the woman to not turn the package away. so if she isnt home, my package goes back anyways. they dont need a signature, but they will not leave it on the doorstep. i hate att!

    yea, at least they were nice. we live on a military base so people tend to be helpful. but even if she isnt home the package goes back! i dont know what to do since typically fedex delivers at like 7pm here. its guarenteed by 5pm, im wondering if i can call once out on delivery if they can find out a eta at all.

    Bad news for me and the others who ordered bright and early on 9/14 and never received any confirmation or shipping emails.  Just chatted with an agent who said I am scheduled for shipment between 10/4 and 10/15, even though I pre ordered at 3:45AM EST on 9/14 and the confirmation page said I was scheduled for 9/21 delivery.  They must have had some kind of system error that somehow booted my order to the back of the line even though I ordered early. People who ordered hours after I did will get their phones before me.  Oh well. 'Tis life I suppose.

    Try calling fedex and tell them to hold the package and if they say yes to hold it for you then you can go to that location and pick the phone up. It worked for me once before for another reason and item.Hope it helps.

    I ordered mine at 3:10 EST an up untill yesterday my status was saying backordered! I called ATT and complained and talked to some supervisors that guaranteed I was getting the phone on the 21st and this morning a tracking showed up and quantity shipped 1. I think some how the system had put me all the way in the end of the line, but when I called they fixed it.

    Upon further reflection about this issue......

     

     

    We are in how many ILLEGAL wars?  Both Presidential Puppets are bought and paid for by CORPORATE INTERESTS yet the masses debate between them as there is ANY real difference....  The Middle East is a powder keg (by design)....and we are worrying when our new improved NSA tracking devices will be delivered... WE ARE FVUCKED!!!

     

    Mine should be here by 3PM tomorrow, LOL,,,sigh..

    If anyone who pre-ordered doesn't actually get their phone tomorrow, may I suggest calling and *respectfully* but firmly demanding some kind of compensation for this mess.  I plan at least to ask for the "upgrade fee" to be waived.  It's a small gesture, but there should be some recognition of our time wasted on this fruitless (pun intended) endeavor.  And really, I suspect AT&T (or any other large corporation) doesn't pay attention to problems unless it hits their bottom line.

     

    By the way, I also wanted to add that reading this thread I find a lot of people handling this very maturely, so kudos to you.

    I'm not sure how, but I lucked out. I ordered at 7:40EST on 9/14. I received tracking info this morning and my phone is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow before 3pm. Needless to say, I've been stoked all day....

     

    I hope it works out for the rest of you!!!!!

    Those of you who ordered through att.com's website, did you receive a "Terms and Conditions" email that you have to sign off on right away?  I'm on the customer service line right now and this lady is saying the reason mine hasn't shipped is because I haven't sent back my Terms and Conditions.  As I have not received any communication from AT&T since ordering, how can I send something back in I never received?
