    Hello,

How many bleeps do you get when you boot the PowerBook?

I would suspect if your getting some bleeps, then it could be a problem with the RAM.

Try resetting the PRAM, by switching it off, unplugging it, take out the battery and then hold the power button for five seconds. Put battery and power lead back on and try powering it up.

Here is some further details that could help.

I think Knuckles in on the right track with the RAM issue. A fair number of 1.5Ghz and 1.67Ghz, all with 15-inch displays, had a bad RAM slot. Other than a new logic board (hard to find due to the high number of defective ones replaced) the only option is to put a 1G RAM module in the working slot and leave the other empty.
