Sep 21, 2012 7:07 PM in response to praveenkayby rbrylawski,What bluetooth devices are you trying to connect with? Bluetooth on iPhone was designed to only communicate with bluetooth keyboards, speakers, car systems, and headphones. If for example you are trying to connect with another phone, or computer via bluetooth, it won't work.

Sep 21, 2012 7:20 PM in response to praveenkayby seripis,I'm having an issue with bluetooth working in my 2011 Mazda3, it was working yesterday with iOS6 and my iphone 4. Today after getting my iPhone 5 it will not connect with the car. It will however connect via BT to my BT Headphones. I'm hoping this is a software problem that will be resolved with the next update.

Sep 21, 2012 7:22 PM in response to seripisby rbrylawski,OK.....on your Mazda, you need go into Bluetooth settings and have your car forget your iPhone 4. Once you do that, you'll be able to pair your new phone. I advised someone earlier to do the same thing and it worked for them.

Sep 21, 2012 7:25 PM in response to rbrylawskiby seripis, yeah, I already tried that. sorry to say it did not work for me. In fact I deleted all devices from the BT in the car, and powered down the phone to try again fresh. I will try it again and see what happens.

Sep 21, 2012 8:43 PM in response to seripisby rbrylawski,Call Mazda and ask their tech support. iPhone supports Bluetooth 4.0 standard. Mazda should know if theres something you need to do to get them to pair.

Sep 22, 2012 5:52 AM in response to rbrylawskiby jeansandpolo,I'm trying to pair a Jabra hands free earphone to my iPhone 5 and it will not discover it. I'm a bit disappointed and want to know if the problem is in the phone or the device, will it do me any good to get another Bluetooth ear phone or wait for some kind of update or something?

Sep 22, 2012 6:31 AM in response to praveenkayby sfisher64,I am having the same problem with my mercedes. It works fine with my iphone 4s on iOS6. And I have tried removing the iphone 4s from the car's bluetooth database -- no impact. I am also having problems with wifi.

Sep 22, 2012 7:37 AM in response to praveenkayby Cjoliet,I'm trying to connect to a 2012 acura tsx and it won't connect. No issues with my iphone 4 running ios6. Tried a number of troubleshooting steps all of which failed. Close to reinstalling ios6 from scratch to see if I can get it to work.

Sep 22, 2012 7:55 AM in response to praveenkayby Nick ROX,I have a pair of Plantronic Backbeat 903+ headphones, they have worked fine on my iPhone 4 since I purchased them. I recieved my new iPhone 5 on Friday and after going through the usual set up they just don't work. I know how to pair them up with my iphone as it's just the same as my last. If there's a new version of Bluetooth then that's all good but surely it must be backwards compatible.
I've tried turning bluetooth off on my iphone, turning my headphones on and putting them in pairing mode, then turning bluetooth on on my iphone..... Nothing. Then all the combinations possible to get them to pair.... Nothing.
I'm pretty sure it's not me but this seems far too big a deal for Apple to mess up on. (Let's not mention maps)
Please help me anyone???
Nick.

Sep 22, 2012 8:04 AM in response to praveenkayby paulafromcolumbia,So far I am disappointed that my new iPhone 5 (which connects successfully with bluetooth to my Lexus for phone service) won't work with the DIRECTIONS in the new Maps App. WHY? It seems like a no brainer that the audio coming through the car speakers is better than the phone speakers! Why should I have to wear an bluetooth ear device to hear the directions? Or does that even work?
