Sep 19, 2012 5:12 PM in response to PhillySports25by StuartClark,I found waiting for all wifi networks to be found then selecting the one you want works. No other changes (proxy etc) needed. Tested several times with several people.

Sep 20, 2012 12:10 AM in response to PhillySports25by maeco,I have this problem too. It seems that the wifi button is disabled after I updated to iOS 6. I tried turning off the cellular data to connect to wifi, but it still won't

Sep 20, 2012 12:20 AM in response to PhillySports25by Lanky Melvin,This worked for me:
In Wi fi settings tap on the blue arrow on the network you are trying to connect to then choose ''Forget this network'
Go back to Wifi settings page and re-join network with passcode and when it connects (in the short time before the apple.com log in appears) tap on blue arrow again and change the last number at the end of the DNS field and go back to Wifi settings.
It should then stay connected. And if you want to you can go back and change the DNS field back to what it was and it should still stay connected.
Another solution I've seen is to tap on one the links on the apple.com log in page that appears and the blue button at the top changes to 'Done' from 'Cancel' and the network then stays connected. Not sure if that one works because the DNS change sorted it for me.

Sep 20, 2012 3:41 AM in response to PhillySports25by commsz344,I had exactly the same issues last night 2100hrs GMT (UK). This morning though both my IPhone 4S and my gen 4 iPod appear to be holding wifi well. My iPad 2 wasn't affected at all after the update. I would advise users that have restored to the previous iOS to have another go. As my faults cleared up this morning. I think it was an over sight by Apple re wifi settings on their own servers - it makes you wonder what they are monitoring though.

Sep 20, 2012 5:43 AM in response to PhillySports25by Bob Howard,I found that after you update to iOS 6, do not try to connect to the internet immediately. Instead, go to your wifi settings and forget your network connection. Relearn and enter the settings, then select Renew Lease when using DHCP. Mine connected then, and I was able to go straight to the internet.

Sep 20, 2012 12:10 PM in response to PhillySports25by holly_a,I can't connect to wifi AT ALL. I can't turn it on and off, it is greyed out. And when I go into General settings, all I don't even see WiFi, all I see is Cellular and VPN. I have tried restoring my phone, turning it on and off, you name it. This is very very frustrating.

Sep 20, 2012 6:42 PM in response to ryanfmcdonaldby tricky s,This IOS 6 is nothing but a beta version. This should never been released, they knew about the wifi problem with first beta release, they never addressed the issue. It *****! Now I am stuck with it until I get a replacement at the apple store "apple care" I just hope it has 5.1.1 on it.

Sep 22, 2012 9:57 AM in response to PhillySports25by @bagjaap,Yo Everybody
I managed to fix this issue few minutes ago. There a few steps to maintain it.
1. Settings>>Safari>>"Clear History" also "Clear Cookies and Data"
2. Turn Your Cellular Data Off
Settings>>General>>Cellular>>Cellular Data (OFF)
>>Enable 3G (OFF)
3. To Maintain your Wifi
Settings>>Wi-Fi>>(Your Network Name)>>HTTP Proxy(Auto) + Leave URL empty
I hope that might help you folks!
ps. if you haven't managed to find your network, after step one you might wanna restart your network settings
