Hey Guys, I was having WiFi issues with my new iPhone 5, I reluctantly did a restore and it's fine, so give it a shot.

My signal strength is fine but the wifi just doesn't work. It works on 4 other devices just fine, but when I turn wifi on on the iPhone 5 I got yesterday, it says full signal but no data flows. I have to turn wifi off and use my data plan at the moment. Any fix for this?

I am having the same problem but it keeps telling me that the password is not valid and I know that it is because my 4 works

I turned the phone off and on and it started working again. Not sure how many times per day I will have to do this ...

Done, sadly no difference. I am sat 3 ft from my router with 2 bars of signal, if I move away it drops out completely.

This is so annoying as I use my phone a lot to browse the web at home.

Seems like we are not on our own with this problem.

HI everyone. I had the same issue on my iPhone 5 re: if I was within 2 meters of my router it was fine, but as I started to walk away, the wifi dropped. And if I went to the settings for wifi, it wouldn't even be able to locate (show) my router. I walked around the house with my iphone 5 and iphone 4 and snapped pictures of them both showing the iphone 4 finding my router (as well as other routers in the neighborhood) and the iPhone 5 finding none (just in case I needed to show them at the apple store.)

I scheduled an appointment at an Apple Store and the phone had the same issue at the store in not finding the Apple Store wifi. The Apple employee was super, within 5 minutes I had a new phone, they assumed a faulty antenna. We tested it right at the store and it was picking up wifi fine. Had it since yesterday afternoon and it is working as it should. So if you are having the signal strength issue or finding that your phone cannot even locate your router, you should consider taking it in.

Wow... thats ridiculous, seems like apple really rushed these out. Too much demand put them under alot of stress I guess. Speaking of faulty hardware, since we are on the subject, thought id mention that my SIM card was bad, had to take it into att and they had to change it. (Ordered the phone through apple).... It happens though guys, especially when manufacturing this many phones

yes, same here... got my phone replaced.  It is defineltly a hardware issue.  When at apple store, it only managed to picked up 2 SSIDs while my iphone 4 picked up more than 10.  No questions asked and they did an exchange.

Took my phone to the Apple store. They replaced it without question. New one works perfectly.

I thought I'd chime in. This is EXACTLY my situation, with my new iPhone 5 having been received via online order yesterday.

I ordered mine on Sept. 19, and got it yesterday...not bad at all! However, I immediately noticed this Wifi signal strength issue, can't add anything to what's been said.

Close proximity to the router is the only thing that "solves" it.

Oh, and on a related (or unrelated) note: Turn on LTE, as often as not soon after it reads "No Service". I have to turn LTE OFF before I can use the phone at all.
