Sep 22, 2012 8:28 PM in response to roberobby Lawrence Finch,I'm absolutely certain that Apple will not resolve it at all, let alone very soon. Assuming Apple decides that it really is a defect in iOS 6 (and I'm not convinced, because when there are bugs in a release there are tens of thousands of posts about it) it would not get in before the next point release, and that is months away, because with 700 million devices to be updated they test for months after any change to prevent introducing another bug as part of the fix.

Sep 22, 2012 10:12 PM in response to nikB123by rustykerr123,I am also having the bluetooth control and meta tag issue. I just purchased this stereoa little over a week ago and just finished hooking up the reverse wire today completing the install, only to find out that the bluetooth function is gone. I have sent an email to pioneer, but as it is weekend, they are not open.
I have already been to the apple store 3 times with the 4s, and still need to go back. I think I will also stop into the apple store and see what they say about this.

Sep 22, 2012 10:16 PM in response to nikB123by answer123,Question, how many bugs are fixed on a weekend? Do you have a life other than ******** about problems that can't be fixed on a Saturday night? Apple is AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS! They are people too. Monday will come soon enough. Go get a beer, SEVERAL beers. They can and will fix all of the problems. IT JUST TAKES TIME!.

Sep 22, 2012 10:20 PM in response to nikB123by bkak,Same problem here. Car stereo is Pioneer AVH P3400BH. No music data or control via bluetooth.
Is it too late to go back to IOS 5.1.1? My stereo is less than 6 months old.

Sep 22, 2012 10:29 PM in response to answer123by rustykerr123,I was not thinking they would fix it in a weekend, I was saying I was waiting for and email back on what Pioneer is saying on this, what the issue is. I just purchased the car I installed this stereo in, the factory stereo was no good, I still need to get it tagged before it is a huge issue. I drive 1 hour each way for work, this is important to me, I want to listen to my own music, not a DJ talking half the time. Also, my Pioneer 4400bh has the usb port in the rear, I did not hook that up to the extension, I forgot (I was also to lazy to go back again), the one time I had to pull the stereo back out it took a while and almost smashed it (the bracket starts to bend and basically turns into a brake).

Sep 22, 2012 10:33 PM in response to rustykerr123by answer123,Well, before smashing anything, especially an expensive stereo, I would wait 1 week for a patch that is Imminent!. Apple's repution is on the line and they know it. Sooooooo, go get a Beer, Several Beers. Monday is coming soon enough.

Sep 22, 2012 10:41 PM in response to nikB123by 3under356,Hey answer123, stop towing the company line and get a real grip on this.. we aren’t talking about a charity where they release software for the good of humankind in their spare time.. we are talking about multi billion dollar company that has the means, resources and the corporate interest in making their latest and greatest product actually fit for purpose... Do you work for Apple ? or are you just a corporate sycophant .. get off this site unless you are going to add to the discussion.. take your own advice and go get a beer..

Sep 23, 2012 5:25 AM in response to nikB123by cadolop,After update my iphone 4 to iOS 6 lose Bluetooth audio track listings and control features in my car audio... I hope this is resolved quickly

Sep 23, 2012 5:52 AM in response to cadolopby Mike Thorman,Same thing here. I have the Alpine BT133 and after update to IOS6 all BT controls went out the window. I have been onto Alpine and they have said that they have in excess of 1500 calls and emails a day since IOS6 went live.
It is not the job of all manufactures to rush out an update because a phone manufacture decides to change a key feature of there product. Pioneer and Sony are in the same boat with hundreds of emails and customer service complaint because of what apple has done....Steve Jobs wouldn't have let this happen (R.I.P Mr Legend), or allowed the Iphone 5 released with a flawed Map system, but there ya go. Take away the Genius and ya left with the monkies.

Sep 23, 2012 7:54 AM in response to nikB123by MORTY02,I have the same issue. Updated my iPhone 4s to iOS6, and lost all function of bluetooth except making calls through my deck (AVH-P8400bh). I also lost function of my Advanced App Mode as well. Apparently if you own a Pioneer producet, Pioneer has already sent in an update for this. They're waiting on Apple to approve the update.
As far as the bluetooth is concerned, I was talking with Apple Support for an hour yesterday. I got passed around, until I got a tech supervisor. He said the bluetooth should still work. They car or stereo companies have to update their hardware/software for the audio info and stereo controls to work again. I'm good in the fact that I can still stream audio, but it really ticks me off that I have to keep picking up my phone to change tracks. Also looking at my screen on my deck, and it says no information found.
To sum this up....SOMEONE PLEASE FIX THIS! I know it will eventually happen, I'm just impatient.

Sep 23, 2012 7:58 AM in response to MORTY02by Ferrari77,I hope it's a joke from apple
All car manufacture will say that their product worked fine before ios6. so the bug appear with ios6 so it's an apple problem
to resume in one year the problem will be the same

Sep 23, 2012 8:22 AM in response to nikB123by Nedfields,I have the same issue, Pioneer AVH-P3400BH. I have the apple Iphone 4s, and Ipad 2, both worked before the IOS6 update, and now neither have the full functionality they once did. This must be software related, since the only thing that changed was my Iphone/Ipad os update. I am disappointed, and hope Apple can fix this quickly. I'm sure Apple tested, and not sure how an issue this big could've slipped through testing without being noticed.

Sep 23, 2012 8:57 AM in response to nikB123by CrzyP,When iOS 5 was released, there was a Bluetooth bug with the volume. Apple released an update for the volume problem about six weeks later if my memory serves me correctly.
