Q: How do I bypass the AirPort internal card and use a PC Card-based adapter instead?
I have an old PowerBook Titanium. These things, as you know, have horrible Wi-Fi reception.
Is there a way I can (without removing the card from the computer if at all possible) bypass the internal AirPort card and pipe the connection into a PC Card Wi-Fi adapter instead?
The card is a Netgear card, and its icon shows up in the menu bar.
PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), G4 Titanium

Yes, I was suggesting a USB2 dongle. Easy to get.
