The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
Had to change my apple id email to a current email
Describe how you did that please?
Because what it sounds like you did was create a new Apple ID. Apple does not transfer content from one ID to another. Apple does not merge IDs. Only the Apple ID used to buy content can update or redownload content.'09 Mac mini, iPad 2, iPhone 4S, OS X Mountain Lion, iOS (5.1.1) Mac user since 1984

The same thing is happening to me. I did not create a new AppleId, just changed the main email, thus the login email of the AppleId account. I use it successfully for everything else, just can't update certain embedded apps, iPhoto and iMovie.
