Sep 20, 2012 10:46 AM in response to John 32by Nuke Egyptian,★HelpfulEnable Airplane Mode in "Settings." Then, disable and it should find that missing connection! If not, just make sure you have the right information in your account and keep refreshing.

Sep 20, 2012 12:38 PM in response to John 32by Schwindy City,★HelpfulI am having the same issue. After I updated to iOS 6 I get "cannot get mail the connection to the server failed" for my Exchange mail. My Gmail still works fine. I am not having access issues from any of my other devices. Is there a compatibility issue with iOS6 and Exchange?

Sep 20, 2012 1:00 PM in response to John 32by Schwindy City,I played around a bit and got it working. For anyone else that is having this issue, here is how I solved it (for Exchange at least. I didn't have trouble with Gmail)
Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Exchange -> Exchange (under Accounts) -> Account (under Exchange) -> clicked at end of username field -> Done (on account screen) -> Done (on Exchange screen)
So basically I changed nothing but I think this somehow re-associated the account with the iPad by hitting done. Would love some more insight into why this worked, but it worked.

Sep 20, 2012 5:12 PM in response to caalbertby Geoff S.,This is what I did, too - delete Gmail account and create it again. Took about 5 minutes to re-populate my inbox and folders. The good news is, iOS6 remembered whom I had added as VIPs, etc. So settings were unaffected.

Sep 23, 2012 5:33 PM in response to Angie in Cadoxtonby kmur27241,Angie you are lucky. Nothing so far has worked for me. I have tried all the suggested fixes. Deleted, recreated, rebooted, reentered, clicked. Huge problem for me. Does anyone else have any ideas.

Sep 24, 2012 8:36 AM in response to kmur27241by jshu,Also failed for me the first time. I tried various other things in various posts and still my gmail didn't work, though another account did. I deleted my gmail account for a second time, re-added it, and this time it worked. Only thing different this time was that I'm on a faster wireless network, no idea if that's why it worked.
