Sep 24, 2012 3:52 AM in response to anoisyboyby Demo,★HelpfulIn iTunes on your computer - Edit>Preferences>Sharing>Share Library on my Local Network>Share Entire Library. Do you have iTunes set up that way?
On the iPad ... Settings>Music>Home Sharing - you are signed in? Same thing for videos?
The shared option in the Music App is in the More Tab at the bottom. The Shared option is at the top on the right hand side in the Videos App.

Did not have this set up. Have done but makes no difference. (after setting up did number of restarts on itunes, ipad, music app)
Reads "status: on, no users connected."

Yes and yes.
The shared option in the Music App is in the More Tab at the bottom. The Shared option is at the top on the right hand side in the Videos App.
Can't see any shared option on videos.
Under music more tab just has genres, composers and sort by artist.

Reboot the iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Sep 24, 2012 10:30 AM in response to Demoby anoisyboy,I don't sync over wifi, but tried.
Connected iPad vis USB, set sync to "sync this iPad over wifi" and applied, but under settings > general > itunes wifi sync it still says "to enable wifi syncing with itunes connect to itunes on you computer using a cable..."
So seems to be an issue with the two communicating. But I do often use AirVideo (have tried shutting it off whilst doing all these tests).Have rebooted router many times.
Tried the home power button reset, all to no avail.

Nov 4, 2012 9:22 PM in response to anoisyboyby Jagr192,I had the same problem as you anoisyboy. Try making sure both your iPad and your computer are signed in to the exact same user name. That worked for me.

Dec 3, 2012 9:27 PM in response to anoisyboyby blaksun333,Make sure your PC and iOS device(s) are running under the same network.
All devices must have home sharing enabled and all should be signed in using the same apple id and password.
After that is confirmed, using the music app and under the "more" option, you should find the "Shared" link.
Then choose your music library

After the sync finishes, just unplug the cable from iPad side.
Now you are able to Sync wirelessly.
