Problem - ios6 wifi greyed out on iphone4s after upgrade from 5.1.1

guys, dont waste your time on this forum trying to fix by following suggestions posted here. None of them work and its a serious defect that Apple is not accepting it or issuing any statement.

If you are under warranty then go to the apple store and get a replacement for your iphone4s. Be there in the store and tell those guys that you are going to do the upgrade to ios6 for the just received replacement iphone4s. I did this - got a replacement iphone4s which had 5.1.1. Told the guy that i am going to upgrade to ios6 right there in the store and if something goes wrong again i will need another replacement. He agreed.

Now the good news - so all went well, ios6 works well on the replaced iphone4s they provided. Wifi is good, battery life is good, music app is good. Its been 2 days now and all seems good. It appears it will work only on their provided iphone4s. BTW there were tons of other people in the store who had come for the same problem. Actually we made a small group and sat as a round table conference. What a shame apple has not yet issued any statement.

For those who dont have warrnty then you are stuck till you get 6.0.1 or pay money and get it serviced which is rediculous. Who will pay for their mistake and defects.

For those guys who cannot go to the store, there is an option where Apple will send you a new replacement by post. Check with them if applicable in your country.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6
