I have been looking online and havent been able to find any avalible iPhone 5 battery cases for sale.  I know a lot of companys are advertising that they have one in the works but I cant find a single one to buy as of today.  Are there any avalible at all?  The product I chose for this post is my iPhone 4 because iPhone 5 is not a selectable option.  Thanks for any help that you can give me!

Dont expect to see one at launch. It is rather doubtful that the developers of these cases would have had any advanced information about the iPhone 5`s size, locations of buttons and the likes to start developing a case. In all likely hood they will only just have been able to start designing one to fit the iPhone 5, so that is why there are none available.

I also searched around, can't find anything up-to-par.

I would say keep an eye on those who make good iPhone 4s battery cases, like UNU, Mophie, & Phonesuit.

Just subscribed UNU's mailing list here ... I have very good experience with their DX protective cases, hope they can launch one soon.

welsleyjames, yours is not a battery case.

Do you have any update on any of the power cases?

I could not find one at the moment..

Hi Doelago, I totally agree with you. I own a power case for 4s but can't imagine how a case can be made to accomendate the bottom headphone jack on the iphone 5.

This one looks like it will work with the headphone jack.

What I want to know if will it be a lightning connector that plugs into the case? This would make a battery case so much better as I could use accessories with the case on.

Any one know if this is posible with lightning?

Better yet, the case would have micro usb or something standard so I don't have to go out and buy a bunch of $20 lightning cables.

Well they have lots of those cases for the iphone 4 but my main desire was to have the case work with accessories, without having to remove the phone from the case. Of course it would be nice to have both micro usb and lightning.

For my 4s I purchased the Boost Case, which not only boosts your battery life (50-75% depending on the model), it also boosts your signal.

It made the phone about 1/3 thicker, which will be ideal for the iPhone 5, as it's actually a little too thin for my hands. Another plus with the Boost Case is that it uses a generic USB connect for charging, so if you're stranded without a charger, there's hope.

I will likely get whichever one gets higher reviews, but my experience with the Boost was pretty positive - looks, feel, form factor, and of course, performance.

The only down side was that, although plugging into the charger would charge the iPhone rather quickly, the Boost Case took hours to charge. It was more of a plug it in at night and unplug it in the morning. That worked OK for me, cause the extra battery life got me through those days when I used a lot of apps (navigation, recording, browsing, etc)

I upgraded to the iPhone 5, so like you all, I will be watching for new products. I subscribed to the UNU mailing list as well, but so far the Boost has the edge in my book...

According to their Website, Lenmar plans to release one on December 24th.  Wish Mophie would hurry up with theirs.  :-(

i just bought one from I-BLASON - its for the iPhone 5 and rated ar 2200 mah - it seems ok but it doesnt offer much protection for the phone itself since most of the phone is still exposed - but it is available now so ill use it until something better is available
