Some people need to stay in "hack everything" forums, and will never listen to anyone who gives any other advice.

You understand that the Notification system introduced in iOS 5 was the result of Apple hiring a well known jailbreak developer, who created the notification system for jailbroken devices right?
"You should stop buying Apple products. I would not buy a company's product, then spit their face and say "Screw you I can do as I want!"."
I cannot believe you even posted that. The reason we have the technology we do is because of modders, people who bent the rules to innovate.

Sorry your thread was invaded by this unpleasantness. Usually it is the OP (original poster) who so vigorously defends the right to spit in Apple's face. But some people want to make their personla opinions the focus in this technical forum.
Feel free to ask other questions, and answers about both allowed an possible will be forthcoming.

Man, what is Apple paying you? You along with others gave the man a generic spoonfed reply. I answered his question with correct facts.

"iBrick" is a term I came across when looking up a peron who recommends that silly and time consuming process. iBrick was used to describe an iPhone after that routine was applied. The person who made the suggestion was quickly moderated - rightfully so. Beyond obvious security and stability risks I also have an ethical beef with that shady jailbreaking mess.
