Perhaps put a nano sim card in it.
If you want help you'll also have to provide a lot more information than just this.

I just got that message on my new phone today too. I rebooted and it went away.
To shed more information on this.......out of nowhere my phone will display "No Sim" where the signal bars, carrier name, and connection level (3G, 4G, LTE) is.
So far it's happened two times today alone. I'm hoping it's just a glitch and will not be an ongoing issue.

Re: iPhone5 "NO SIM CARD INSTALLED" "NO SERVICE"

I purchased my iPhone 5 last Friday and I started having the same problem start Saturday. I went to best buy(where I purchased the phone) they didn't have any SIM cards for the new iPhone to replace mine. My daughter suggested I take the new cover I had purchased off the phone and see if the problem stopped. Well I've had it off and I haven't had the problem since I did. The cover was really snug on the phone. So maybe it was squeasing the SIM card opening. I don't know if that's what it was but the problem stopped. So if everyone has a cover on their phone take it off and see if the problem stops.

My wife was having the same issue with her iPhone 5,
Turning the phone off and then on, would solve the problem temporarily.
I took it into AT&T and they replaced the SIM card and the phone
Has been working fine since. This was Wednesday Oct 3, so far so good.
