You can sync it with iTunes (connect phone to iTunes > info > iCal) and sync iCal to your iPhone.
Or through MobileMe (in iCal > Preferences > General > synchronize iCal with other computers and devices using Mobile Me).
I was able to do this and it restored my previous events.

I have similar problem.... No events in Month or Day view. But when I switch to List view in Calendar, I found hundreds of "New Events" and finally make my iPhone full (occupied all storage).
For my case, I reset everything with erase contents and setup the iphone from New. It is good after.

I am having the same problem: can't sync my iphone calendar with my Ical (in my Mac). I tried syncing with Itunes and it does not work. It will try to sync (for hours) and then it gives an error that it can not sync. The message indicates "Itunes could not sync calendars to the iphone name because an error occurred remapping record identifiers. Try syncing again. If the problem persists, replace the calendars on the iphone from the Info Tab in the Iphone preferences"..... I tried all this and have had no luck on getting then to sync. Please help, I depend heavily on ny calendar syncs.

I am having a similar issue. I have a MacBook Pro (MBP) running Snow Leopard, an iPad 3 and iPhone 4 (running ios 6 each). Since updating to ios 6, I'm having problems with iCal syncing between the MBP and iPad 3/iPhone 4. I am not using iCloud, and sync via wifi or direct plug-in @ MBP. Here's what I'm seeing:
If I put a new event on either my iPad 3/iPhone 4 and sync, it shows up on the other mobile device, but not on the MBP.
If I add a new event on my MBP and sync, it shows up on both mobile devices; however, when it is deleted from the MBP, it remains on each mobile device and must be manually deleted on both.
Everything worked fine on all my iCal calendars until ios 6 upgrade. I've done everything I know to do. Any suggestions (other than waiting for ios 6.1 patch)?

I had the same problem. I had tried using icloud, decided I didn't like it and wanted to go back to my original way of just standard syncing calendars to my computer.
I ended up having to delete my icloud account from my Iphone. That did the trick.

Thanks for this solution, but it didn't work for me. I'm just can't use my iphone or ipad calendars with any reliability. Spoke with Apple Tech Support, but they seemed unaware of this problem, so I pointed them to a number of support communities with this very problem.

I finally solved the problem I was having, although it did not involve a simple solution. Apparently there was/were corrupt files related to the syncronization and restore backup. I ended up having to restore the iphone as a "New iPhone" (It did not work by restoring from the backup). Once settings in the new iphone were set (after restoration as a new iphone), I was able to sync the information that was in my computer with the "new" iPhone. I lost text messages and app settings (since those are not in the sync options), but was able to recover all my contacts, calendar info, emails, music, videos, and applications. I restored the iPhone through itunes (connect iPhone to comp, open itunes, and in the info tab of the device press restore). After the software restoration, you need to set your wifi connection (this is optional), and enter your apple ID (no worries if you don't want to connect through iCloud, it will ask later if you want to do it or not). The iphone will ask to connect to computer and either restore as a new iphone or from a backup. I tried MANY times to restore from backup, but the iphone just went blank and did not work. Restoring as a "new" iPhone and then sync with itunes did work. Good luck with this one - it took me a long time to figure it out.
