Wow, I had just about given up on getting my Motorola ROKR S305 headphones going.  They would not pair on my new 5, even thorugh they were fine on my 3GS for years.

Then I was browsing here, looking for the needle in the haystack, and found it.  There is a tip on Pg 2 of the thread suggesting holding down the call button while trying to discover,  The tip was for a BOSE device, but I thought what the heck, tried it, and it worked!

Worth a shot for others out there with similar issues.  Thanks a million, Zoomgirl!

I posted my experience further down in the thread, but wanted to say here that your tip worked for me.  Thanks a million, Zoomgirl!

My experience is that the ip5 Bluetooth successfully connects with Holden vehicles (I use numerous of the same type of vehicle at work).  Audio streaming and Siri commands all ok.  When you make a phone call, however, the call rings and connects ... But then silence.  I can't hear the caller and they can't hear me.  If I swap to phone speaker I can hear the call and then, strangely, if I swap back to vehicle bt, all is fine.  This only occurs for outgoing calls.  Occurs in multiple vehicles and vehicles work fine with other phones.

I'm having the same problem with my 2011 Subaru Forester.  The car detected the device no problem.  However, every time I turn the car back on I have to go into the menu to manually pair the device.  My previous phone would automatically sync, not sure why iphone 5 doesn't.

Similar issue here: I have been using a Scala Rider with my iPhone 4 updated to iOS6 successfully.

Upon recieving my new toy iPhone 5, I can pair the device, but cannot connect...

    Any ideas?

I kind of found a solution with the Bluetooth problems with my Pioneer AVIC unit and the IPhone5

If i turn off LTE everything works fine.

I can hear people normally and have no issues with the volume going up and down or cutting out.

If i turn back on LTE then i have the same problems with trying to hear people and volume issues

However they can hear me fine.

This happens even in areas where there is no LTE service.

Tried pairing with the Jabra hands free in my wifes car and have the same issues.

So for now if i want to use Bluetooth i have to leave LTE turned off.

I am having the same problem with my iphone 5 not discovering my bluetooth devices.  I upgraded to ios 6 on my iphone 4 and my ipad 3 and bluetooth was working on my jawbone jambox and my logitech keyboard.  Now my iphone 5 cannot find my jambox or my logitech keyboard.  I talked to my friend who has a jambox and got the new iphone 5 and he has no problem connecting to his jambox.  I called apple care and they suggested updating to the latest jambox softwear which I did and my iphone 5 is still not able to find any bluetooth devices.  I have tried everything I have seen on these threads and through internet searches and unfortunately nothing is working.  Bluetooth just isn't working on my iphone 5.

    Hi guys,

I don't know if this will help anyone but i managed to work out what was causing the issue on my Ford Fiesta.

Because I'd upgraded the phone and it copied all my settings from my old iphone 4S (including the name) to the iphone 5 it seems the car was getting confused and it was the issue, not the phone.

I managed to resolve it by totally clearing the car sterio's memory of all paired phones and then tried re-pairing the Iphone 5.

Now it works totally fine, as my 4s used to and just connects as soon as i get in the car.

Im assuming the bluetooth memory gets confused because the name is exactly the same however the serial is different.

Hopefully this will resolve some of your issues. I'd refer to the sterio manual for how to wipe the paired devices memory.

    Josh

Most of us did clear out the memory of our car Bluetooth and also the memory of the phone. Can you change the name of the phone? iTunes maybe?

Just paired the Iphone 5 with my 2011 GL350 Mercedes.  First go in and delete the old phone or unauthorized is as per the screen language.  Also delete the phonebook as the previous phone is still recognized by the car. Then follow the instructions on how to pair a phone in the Command book that came with the owners manual.

    Hope this helps

You have to delete your old phone from bluetooth phone settings as well as bluetooth audio settings. I did on 2012 impreza and it now connects and stays connected!!

On my Fiesta I am unable to use voice control but when I use contacts on my iPhone to dial it comes through the car speakers as normal. When I press phone on the dashboard all I getting the display is the phone menu and when I re activate the phone there is no improvement. Any advice for me please.

You have to go in and completely remove all the phones. This can be done by pressing the off hook button, scroll through and select setup with the tune/track/ch wheel. Delete all phones and set them up again. Worked in my 2012 wrx.
