Q: After I purchased , downloaded it and installed it , my Ipod Touch 1st gen restarted and show connect to Itune but Itune does not recognize it, I restarted the PC, the Ipod, now I paid for something that I was thinking will be easy and make my life easy

Tried that, gone throu all the settings and instruction, but still the same, Itune can see my other Ipods but not this one , and this one only show connect to Itune , tried in other laptops and same problem no Itune can read this Ipod now

See if placing the iPod in DFU mode will allow a restore.

Did it, now the screen in the ipod is blak , Itune shows nothing and the Ipod will not restart or poer on and still Itune shoing nothing

Try another computer
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
