Sep 25, 2012 3:40 PM in response to innerserenityby Gary - former developer,★HelpfulUnicode was introduced to the Mac OS in a version of Mac OS 8 if my faulty memory recalls correctly. It will be a system extension more than likely but also more than likely NOT called "Unicode Converter".
If you can figure out what library file to use, you can put a copy into the extensions folder on your System 7 machine and see what happens when you start your application.
But I suspect that your system will simply crash if you try this. It nay not even boot.

iWorkThanks Gary. I haven't been able to identify the extension so far, but I'm plugging away at it.

Sep 27, 2012 5:43 AM in response to innerserenityby Gary - former developer,On my 9.2.1 system the file is called "Text Encoding Converter" in the Extensions folder. I don't have an older sysem running right now to look for something under a different name.
