I don't know whether Apple monitors this forum, but nobody else seems to either. All the techniques needed to solve the iPhone 4s's battery issues have been published here since thread 780 or so, yet nobody seems to have read any of it. It's really a matter of taking responsibility for how the phone works and managing its use, tailoring it to your needs. If you require that all features and capabilities are active all the time, then that does limit battery life. If you decide what you need operating and when you need it operating and manage the phone accordingly, then the battery life is certainly adequate.

I decided to leave my phone unplugged overnight to see how much the battery would drain.

    Before:

    10:11 pm

    Usage: 3 hours, 35 minuets

    Standby: 15 hours, 9 minuets

    Battery: 30%

    After:

    9:33 am

    Usage: 3 hours, 59 minuets

    Standby: 1 Day, 2 hours

    Battery: 17%

13% overnight... not very good. :|

Something is wrong there.  My phone does not get hot.  It does not drop over 1 or 2 % overnight but I shut down all the apps and have turned off many of the pushes and locator services.  I would take it to A T & T store and have them check it out.  Getting hot is the problem with battery drain, finding out why it is getting hot is the solution.  Hope you resolve the problem.

    This is not correct. Sorry.

    If I buy a Ferrari, I wanna have a Ferrari. I wanna

use all 12 cylinders and I will drive 200 mph.

But if I have to downgrade my Ferrari to a VW Beetle

to use it, I do not need a Ferrari, right?

In other words: If I pay for an expensive iPhone, I wanna

use my iPhone – without stupid  limitations and without

switching of all technical possibilities just to survive one day.

Tex, how old is your iPhone? (I think it has

    something to do with that.)
