Q: 5.1 Surround Sound on Macbook Pro 2011
Hi guys!
My apologies if this has already been spoken about, I did a search to no avail.
I have just switched over from Windows and would like to use my Logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers on my new Macbook Pro (it is the 15 Inch 2011 model, i7 2.2Ghz).
When looking for somewhere to plug the speakers into, I got a tad lost. These speakers have three little plugs that I use to plug into my Windows machine; a black plug, a beige plug and a creamy coloured plug. However the Macbook has no such adapters to plug these into.
Is there some kind of add-on I must purchase to allow me to use my speakers on this new computer? If so where can I find it and how much can I expect it to set me back?
If not, can anybody recommend some 5.1 speakers to me that will work with my Macbook Pro?
Thanks guys,
Tyler
