Sep 26, 2012 1:01 PM in response to Onecorgiby deggie,I was able to pair my iPhone 4 with iOS 6 and my new iPhone 5 with my car, had to re-pair them each time. It is clearly not a global issue.

Sep 26, 2012 1:24 PM in response to rdejesus486by SGIRAPPLE,My iphone 5 bluetooth can pair with my 2006 BMW, but it won't automatically connect when I start the car. Bluetooth will connect only when I go to the iphone blueooth manual and connect manually. My iphone 4 never had this problem.
This is critical, Apple, fix it ASAP.

Which may be the problem with your iPhone 5. Unpair each of them from the 4s, turn off BT on the 4s, get your books out with the Jawbone and fuelband and try again.

Sep 26, 2012 3:09 PM in response to praveenkayby Christian303,To all Mazda owners: I was able to pair my 2012 Mazda3 with my iPhone 5 using the car's voice prompts. At first, I tried pairing using the BT Setup menu on the car stereo and selecting "Pair device", but that did not work. The iPhone would not detect the Madza... Then I tried going through the voice prompt and it worked right away!
Here's how I did it:
1) On the iPhone, open up the Bluetooth settings so the the iPhone displays "Now discoverable".
2) On the car's steering wheel, press the the voice activation button.
3) Follow the car's voice prompts to pair your iPhone.
Why the voice prompt method worked and the menu method did not beats me.! With my old iPhone 4, both methods worked perfectly.

Sep 26, 2012 3:37 PM in response to jstumpalump;150by starkythesparky,Mine paired no problem. It just doesn't show Song info or enable me to control the iPhone 5 with the Alpine car stereo controls. The music sounds fine. I did notice the volume increased spontaneously once though.

Sep 26, 2012 4:07 PM in response to praveenkayby JonD,Kind of embarrassing really. I called up a help line that was really super. It is called HandsFreeLink. I believe it is for all cars but it is listed in my Acura manual. They walked me through the whole process and it now works like a charm. It was pretty complicated.
The number is 888 528-7876 in case others can use it.
Hope you all get it resolved as well as I did.

Sep 26, 2012 5:51 PM in response to starkythesparkyby rogerfrombowling green,That's the exact problem I have with my Alpine and the 4 Phone with iOS 6. I get the new phone tomorrow and was hoping it would not have this issue, apparently it does. ****.

Sep 26, 2012 6:34 PM in response to LFrawleyby jordan7128,I was able to use my iPhone 5 in my 2012 Terrain by first removing the information for the iPhone 4 from the vehicle Bluetooth setting and starting over. The other suprise is that I can now use Siri, but still no luck streaming music.

Sep 27, 2012 8:38 AM in response to praveenkayby dflemi,I have also had issues with my new Iphone 5 and bluetooth on my new Bose speaker, also recently purchased from the Apple Store. Despite spending around 1.5 hours on this issue, restoring factory settings, I have still been unable to get it to pair with my speaker. I was told something about the firmware being an issue and it likely being "corrupted" from restoring it from my old phone. I have been very disappointed thus far and it appears that this is an issue that Apple needs to tackle, especially given all the issues people are apparently having.

Sep 27, 2012 8:55 AM in response to praveenkayby Expernow,Had the same problem. You must put all other devices into pairing mode for reconnecting to the new phone.
