Phone upgraded to iOS this morning and I'm getting the same message about connecting to itunes.  Sounds like a bug that needs to be corrected.

I too am having this issue since upgrading to iOS 6.  I figured all day yesterday it just wasn't live yet, but it's working for other family members.  Disappointing.

I am having the same issue and it does not seem to matter if you are on wifi or 4g

There is a possible solution posted on another thread. Looks like it may work

Did you change the date to sometime in the future? I tried that and it worked

It is very weird, I was able to get it to work on the 4S a couple days ago but now that I have upgraded to the 5 I have not been able to get it to work either. Hopefully the update comes pretty soon.

I just tried and I am getting the "cannot connect" message. Think Apple will have to update this app to fix this.

I tried the miracle fix too - 3 times; my 4s still will not connect to iTunes from passbook... How annoying

There was this idea on another site that device timing was off.  The cure apprarently for some was to manually change the iphone's (iOS6) date to a year ahead manually, then go back and set time to automatic, then one may gain entry into Passbook.  This did not work for me.

However, I came across another interesting, and I think related problem.  My text messaging seem confused with iOS6 and overlapped or detoured to my wife's iphone.  That is, I had and iPhone previously, and when I upgraded the physical model, I gave my old iPhone to my wife.  Now two devices were registed to the same AppleID account concurrently.  Text messaging was fine and private until iOS6.  I believe that Passbook must have a unique AppleID, perhaps linked to a single device (or at least not two iPhones).  Certainly is seems that there are ID-driven features in store for iPhone text messaging.  For Passbook, my conjecture is that the Apple systems/cloud need clean unambiguous AppleID and device info.

My home has four iPhones, and only these two share these problems.  I have since created a new AppleID for my wife, registered that phone, cycled power on both devices, called Verizon and had them reset their services to the iPhones... NOTHING.   Verizon tells me that this text messaging problem is common in iOS6, for those with multiple phones with one AppleID, and now I should also re-install iOS6.  How does that work?
